Jacob McClelland · Applied AI, language & automation
I build AI tools with a writer’s ear, a linguist’s attention to meaning, and a builder’s care for the people who will use them.
01 A practice for turning complicated ideas into useful things.
A human eye. A creative mind. A thoughtful use of AI.
From the information underneath a system to the words on the screen, I shape the details that make the result clear, useful and distinctly personal.
What I build
Small systems can carry a surprising amount of weight when they are built around the people who use them.
Move the repetitive work out of the way, while keeping the choices that need a human close at hand.
02Shape an assistant’s knowledge, voice and boundaries so people can ask for help in ordinary language.
03Give a good idea a clear home: distinctive enough to be remembered, simple enough to be understood.
04Connect the moving parts of a real community, from the first RSVP to the last update.
The practice
My work sits between computational linguistics, creative practice and the small operational details that decide whether a tool gets used. I bring structure to messy information, then make the result clear enough for someone else to own.
